Alberta began practicing yoga to help relieve pain from repetitive stress injuries she sustained as a college athlete. Merely seeking a low-impact form of exercise, Alberta was surprised to discover that the benefits of her growing yoga practice extended far beyond the mat. She felt more present, focused, and connected with herself and others--not to mention stronger and more confident than she did during her years of high-impact running and weight lifting workouts. Alberta received her 200-RYT certification from Coolidge Yoga and hopes to share the same feelings of community, strength, peace, and mindfulness that she finds in her personal yoga practice with her students.
