Emily Peterson (she/her)

Emily Peterson (RiverStar) is a shamanic healer, ceremonialist, yoga teacher and teacher-trainer, and trauma-aware somatic educator. With more than twenty years of interdisciplinary teaching and healing experience, her work brings embodied practice, nervous-system understanding, and Earth-honoring spiritual traditions into relationship.

She believes healing restores connection between body, heart, soul, and the living world. With warmth, reverence, and respect for each person’s unfolding, Emily creates spaces where vulnerability is met with compassion, spiritual experience can be safely integrated through the body, and each person’s inner knowing is honored.

Her practice weaves voice, soul retrieval, ceremonial fieldwork, Water Spirit and heart-coherence healing, depossession, and somatic spirit counseling. She also serves as a sacred midwife through the dying process.

Emily is the creator of New Paradigm Yin — The Way of the Waters, an embodied and spiritually rooted approach to Yin Yoga. Her wider work includes 3H — Human • Horse • Harmonics, offering relational healing experiences with horses, land, and the living field rooted in consent, presence, and reciprocity.

Her classes and healing sessions are gentle yet profound, supporting deep rest, emotional integration, soul remembering, sovereignty, and the return of aliveness and joy.

She lives in Jamaica Plain with her partner and two pups.
