Beyond the Veil: A Breath and Sound Journey

  • Boston Yoga Union 1297 Beacon Street Brookline, Massachusetts, 02446 United States (map)

At this time of year, as we move toward the darker season and traditions across time have honored the mystery of what lies beyond the visible, we’ll explore another possibility: What if there is less of a veil than we think? Through gentle movement, microdose breathwork, breath holds and guided inquiry, we’ll explore what we may be ready to release—the noise, holding and habitual ways of perceiving that can obscure our sense of greater connection. Then, we rest. Held in an immersive landscape of voice, singing bowls, drums, rattles, chimes, chanting and light language, you’ll be invited into deep listening and receptivity—to body, mystery, memory, Spirit, and whatever wishes to meet you there. A journey not toward another world, but toward a deeper experience of the one we are already within.

Guest Facilitator: Brooke Graves

Brooke Graves is a soul/pop recording artist, songwriter, and certified sound healer with a deep passion for using her voice and music as vessels for healing, inspiration, and hope.

Discovered by Shae Haley of Pharrell Williams’ N.E.R.D. at 18, Brooke has spent years cultivating her artistry alongside a multi-Grammy Award-winning creative team. Her music weaves together soul-filled sound, heartfelt storytelling, and cinematic experiences, all of which come together in her debut album, Rated BG, set for release in early 2027.

Through her journey in the music industry, Brooke discovered the transformative power of creating space for stillness, presence, and inner connection. Her own practice has been deeply shaped by yoga, restorative and yin practices, meditation, and the healing qualities of sound and vibration. She went on to become a certified sound healer, expanding her relationship with sound beyond performance and into intentional healing.

For Brooke, music, sound, and vibration are universal languages of the soul. Through sound healing, she creates immersive spaces that invite participants to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the restorative power of listening, presence, and vibration.
